About Diamond Derby, LPC
I help women who have spent years being the dependable one, always saying yes, putting themselves last, and wondering why they still never feel like they're doing enough. I help women who have spent years being the dependable one, always saying yes, putting themselves last, and wondering why they still never feel like they're doing enough.
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Registered Play Therapist (RPT) based in Cedar Hill, Texas.
I work with women who feel stuck in patterns of perfectionism, people-pleasing, anxiety, and burnout. I also support children and teens through play therapy. I’ve worked with enough women to know what this can look like up close, the pressure to perform, to keep everyone happy, and to never let anything slip.
Therapy with me is not about fixing you. It is about understanding the patterns that keep pulling you back into exhaustion and learning how to move through life differently, with more clarity, balance, and self-trust.
Outside of the therapy room, I value rest, balance, and the small rituals that help us reconnect with ourselves, whether that’s a comfort show, time with loved ones, or quiet moments to reset.
You may be here because
You look like you have it together on the outside, but inside you're exhausted.
You replay conversations, struggle to say no, and carry everyone else's needs before your own.
You wonder why slowing down feels so uncomfortable, even when you're running on empty.
If that sounds familiar, you're in the right place.
-
Therapy with me is practical, collaborative, and compassionate. I combine evidence-based approaches like CBT and ACT with deeper emotional work to help you understand not just what is happening, but why. My goal is for you to leave each session with both insight and something useful to practice.
-
Sessions are conversational, structured, and tailored to your goals. Some days we'll explore patterns from the past. Other days we'll focus on building practical skills for managing anxiety, setting boundaries, or responding differently to your inner critic.
-
I work primarily with women who struggle with anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, people-pleasing, and self-doubt. If you're looking for a therapist who balances warmth with honest feedback and practical tools, we may work well together.
